It is very easy to get caught up with the “busy-ness” of the holiday season and forget that there is still a lot of time left this year to get your book marketing tasks and activities completed. Concentrating on marketing NOW will set you up nicely for the new year.

As an independent writer, YOU are responsible for marketing yourself as an author and for marketing your book(s). Even if you have a contract with a traditional publishing house, the bulk of marketing tasks are up to YOU.

Two Things To Remember:

  1. Writing Your Book is Only the First Step.
  2. ”If you build it they will come” is NOT a marketing plan.

Since 2008, I have worked with fiction and nonfiction writers to publish over 300 eBooks and print books. Publishing your book is one thing. Marketing your book so that people know about it and will invest in it is quite another thing.

Because so many authors neglect the necessary and essential marketing tasks for their books, nearly a third make less than $500 a year and 90% of self-published books sell less than 100 copies. You CAN beat those numbers!
