Friday Funday
Friday is one of my favorite days of the week!
Because I am a solopreneur, and because of my particular business model, I can pretty much set my own schedule, which is one of the primary reasons I decided to become my own boss way back in 2008.
For my newest business, the TeamOwens313 Global Creative Community, that my husband and I started in 2021, I do not work with clients on Mondays or Fridays, and I do not work weekends (most of the time).
On Mondays, I do a lot of writing for my books and a lot of planning for client work for the upcoming week.
On Fridays, I also do a lot of writing for my books, a lot of time ensuring all of my weekly tasks are completed, a lot of time reviewing the past week, and a lot of time planning for the upcoming week.
Because I work from my home office, I also work hard to NOT work all the time — something that a lot of WFH people have to deal with.
If I want to keep my weekends free to do everything else and ANYTHING else besides “work,” I have to make sure that I don’t leave things undone and that everything is planned for the upcoming week so that I can “hit the ground running” on Monday.
THAT is why Friday is my “Funday,” because it IS fun to finish things up and be completely ready for the next week…
